Visit and slow walk around Kyoto temples and shrines based on the routes suggested in Kyoto Walks (page 2/6): jnto.go.jp/eng/location/rtg/pdf/pg-503

(1) Kiyomizu-dera (音羽山 清水寺)
Admission Fee: 300円
Opening hours: 6AM ~ 17:30PM
Transportation: Kyoto City Bus (Each 15mins once)
Fares: ¥230 (paid as you get off the bus)
From Karasuma Gojo (烏丸五条) [East bound – 東行き] bus stop, get on Kyoto City Bus route#80 → Get off from Gojo-zaka (5th stops – approximately 10mins ride) bus stop.

Kyoto city bus reaches each stop almost around the time mentioned in the timetable. You only have to reach the bus stop 5mins in advanced and wait for the bus at your chosen route#.

(2) Yasaka Shrine (八坂神社, Yasaka-jinja), once called Gion Shrine (祇園神社, Gion-jinja)
Transportation: by foot
Admission Fee: FREE
Opening hours: 24 hours

The Jinja is located at Gion (祇園)

(3) Chion-in Temple (知恩院)
Transportation: by foot
Admission Fee: ¥500 (Hōjō Garden [方丈庭園] and Yūzen’en Garden [友禅苑])
Opening hours: 9AM ~ 4PM (Closes at 4:30PM)

Remember to wear proper socks as you are required to remove your shoes while bypass the hall to Hōjō Garden [方丈庭園].

(4) Heian-Jingu Shrine (平安神宮, Heian-jingū)
Admission Fee: FREE (Outer Sanctuary (Daigoku-den))
Opening Hours: 6AM ~ 5PM
